Angela is a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore. She obtained her Master of Speech and Language Pathology from Australia.
Angela has more than 10 years of experience working in various public and private healthcare institutions and community agencies. She has been supporting individuals, caregivers, families, groups and healthcare professionals in issues related to speech, communication, language and swallowing. Angela's experience includes providing services at early intervention centres, speech therapy clinics, and private homes. She also spent 2 years volunteering with families and their kids with autism in the home-based Son-Rise Programme, a child-centred therapy.
In addition, Angela also provides training to nurses, doctors, therapist assistants, volunteers, and therapists. Currently, she works as a freelance lecturer for both the Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC) and Nanyang Polytechnic.
Angela is trained in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT). She has also received training in Makaton (Australia) and An Integrated Treatment Approach to Oral Motor Function: Infancy through Geriatrics.
