Ms. Lo Huimin

Huimin holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & Economics) from The University of Melbourne.


Upon graduation, Huimin worked as a Psychologist in a voluntary welfare organization. During that time, she worked extensively with clients of various developmental conditions.


Having completed Certificate in Autism and the Higher Certificate in Autism, Huimin worked as a Psychologist with children and youth with special needs in an Autism specialised centre and school, conducting various psychological and educational placement assessments for the centre. Huimin is also trained in Structured Teaching (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Triple P – Stepping Stones (Positive Parenting Programme) conducting social skills classes and in-class and in-home behavioural management sessions for clients and teachers. Huimin also trained caregivers and teachers in the Certificate in Autism.


Since 2011, Huimin has continued working in the field with children and youth with diverse needs providing individual home-based intervention. She customized the therapy sessions according to the needs of the individual clients and provided parent and teacher training where necessary. Huimin also provided school shadowing support in various preschools and mainstream schools and academic bridging to clients requiring specialised help in academics.


As a Special Needs Therapist, Huimin conducts the Structured Teaching Programme and Social Skills Classes at the SKILT Centre.
