Ms. Izyan

Early Intervention Teacher

Advanced Diploma in Early Intervention (Special Needs)
Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education (Early Intervention Track)

Izyan graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Early Intervention (Special Needs) from the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) and a Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education (Early Intervention Track) from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Izyan gained a good understanding of the field after completing her internship at Movement for the Intellectually Disabled Singapore (MINDS) and various preschools as part of her studies.

Izyan previously worked as an Early Interventionist in a special education school for 5 years. As part of her work there, she was responsible for children of many different profiles, including, but not limited to, those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Down Syndrome. Izyan also actively collaborated with external agencies such as preschools in order to provide teachers with strategies such as environmental changes that could be made to better support learning in other settings.

Izyan strongly believes in the importance of involving families and other stakeholders involved in the child’s care for a holistic and consistent approach to intervention. She also believes that every child is different and unique, with their own strengths and interests. Izyan’s goal is to incorporate these factors into her intervention to empower children to maximise and reach their full potential.
