Special Needs Therapist

​The Role:

  • Assess and support children’s behavioural, social, and emotional needs.

  • Develop and implement intervention plans based on assessment findings.

  • Provide regular updates to parents after each session and share strategies to reinforce progress at home.

  • Collaborate with parents, preschool teachers, intervention teachers, and therapists to understand the child’s needs across different settings (home and school).

  • Provide support in areas such as in-class behavioural management, psychotherapy, school shadowing, and school-based support services.

  • Maintain accurate case notes after each session to document progress and behavioural changes.

  • Carry out administrative duties related to case management.

  • Attend inter-department training, case discussions, staff consultations, and other meetings as required by management.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or Early Childhood (Special Needs).

  • Relevant certifications and related qualifications are an advantage.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for children with special needs.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families and professionals.

  • Able to work on Saturdays.
