Preschool Training

Supporting Teachers, Strengthening Schools

Every teacher wants to give their best. Every school leader wants to see their teachers thrive. But the reality of the classroom is harder than most people realise.

At The SKILT Centre, we have sat in these classrooms as shadows and school support, right beside teachers in the middle of those moments. We’ve seen the care, the effort, and the frustration.

From what we’ve seen, the biggest difference comes when teachers are given more than encouragement — when they are given time, tools, and expert guidance targeted around the real challenges schools face.

We envision classrooms where challenges are met early, and every struggle becomes an opportunity for growth — for both teacher and child.

Empowering Teachers. Supporting Every Child.

At The SKILT Centre, we believe inclusion is most effective when teachers feel confident, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can use right away.

Our preschool talks and training sessions are designed to help educators support children with diverse developmental, learning, and behavioural needs — in ways that work for real classrooms.

Who We Are

Our sessions are facilitated by an experienced multi-disciplinary team, including:

  • Psychologists – to explain developmental needs in context.

  • Speech & Language Therapists – to introduce communication supports and strategies.

  • Occupational Therapists – to address sensory needs and physical participation.

  • Educational Therapists – to adapt learning activities and materials.

  • Special Needs Educators – to share classroom-tested approaches.

  • Dr Lian Wee Bin – our Clinical Director, who occasionally leads or joins sessions on developmental and behavioural paediatrics.

  • Responsive teaching techniques for students with different communication styles.

Adapting the Classroom

  • Simple changes to lesson plans, routines, and environment for better inclusion.

  • Balancing individual support with whole-class needs.
