Mastering Mathematics

June Holiday Programme | O-Level & A-Level Mathematics Talk by Dr Tang Wee Kee
Develop stronger problem-solving skills, critical exam skills, and deeper mathematical understanding beyond memorisation.

O-Levels Talk: 23 June 2026  (Tues), 9-11am | A-Level Talk: 24 June 2026 (Wed), 9-11am

Talk Details

Talk 1: Problem Solving in
O-Level Mathematics

For many students, O-Level Mathematics feels like a test of memory—memorising formulas, practising past papers and hoping for familiar problems to appear in exam.

However, in every examination, there are always components that involve unfamiliar and challenging problems. Success in an exam requires more than mere memory work. In this talk we shall look at problem solving skills that are essential in tackling more challenging problems in mathematics.

For O-Level Students:

Date: 23 June 2026, Tuesday

Time: 9.00am – 11.00am

Fees: $21.80 in-person | $13.08 Zoom

Venue: The SKILT Centre @ Upper Thomson

101 Soo Chow Walk, Singapore 575385

Talk 2: Seeing Around Corners: Developing Mathematical Intuition for A-Level Success

The transition from O-Level to A-Level Mathematics is often marked by a sudden increase in abstraction.

Students often find themselves struggling as problems become less about following a recipe and more about understanding the underlying principles.

This talk explores the shift from mechanical computation to intuitive reasoning, providing students with a roadmap to navigate complex topics like Calculus, Vectors, and Complex Numbers.

For A-Level Students:

Date: 24 June 2026, Wednesday

Time: 9.00am – 11.00am

Fees: $21.80 in-person | $13.08 Zoom

Venue: The SKILT Centre @ Upper Thomson

101 Soo Chow Walk, Singapore 575385
