About the Event
The transition from O-Level to A-Level Mathematics is often marked by a sudden increase in abstraction. Many students struggle when problems become less about following fixed methods and more about understanding underlying mathematical ideas.
In this talk, Dr Tang Wee Kee will explore how students can develop stronger mathematical intuition and deeper conceptual understanding for topics such as Calculus, Vectors, and Complex Numbers.
Dr. Tang Wee Kee is a mathematician with a specialization in functional analysis at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). His passion lies not in abstract theory alone, but in making abstract mathematical ideas accessible, natural, and even beautiful to learners. Prior to joining NTU, he was involved in teacher training at NIE for more than a decade. He also co-founded Add-Venture Learning, an educational organization that specializes in making mathematics engaging and accessible to students.
